VERY NICE TOOL
i don’t know how i should play bf3 without this tool-> radeon hd 6770m
does anybody know if an update will correct the non fullscreen bug ?
Hello. I’m glad you like our tool! Could you tell us more about that non fullscreen bug? We haven’t heard of it.
The fullscreen bug is where it appears to go borderless but doesn’t & will not use the resolution you have set, so it’s a smaller, borderless looking window – and if you click on it, it simply reverts back to full screen.
of course, i heard that every pc with a radeon hd 6770m can’t play bf3 in fullscreen. if you click on FULLSCREEN ON in the settings, i can’t play because my mice don’t move.i have installed the latest radeon cataclyst 12 driver.sry for my bad english
im from austria
Great work on the editor. I do have a question about the “fixes” tab. There are no mouse-over tips on that page, so not clear what is getting fixed. Particularly interest in the Commo Rose Fix. I mapped that to my mouse button but I’m STILL required to use Q while in the mav and heli to spot. Is that what it does?
Hi Dave.
If you select one of the fixes on the “Fixes” page by left-clicking it in the list, you should see several paragraphs of help information appear to the right of the list. We didn’t use tooltips for this section because we had too much to say.
As for the spotting and Commo Rose controls — unfortunately, Battlefield 3 handles these in a very glitchy manner, and there are numerous problems. Our current fix only helps with one of the problems. I will try to explain how Battlefield 3 works and what our current fix does.
As you know, Battlefield 3 defaults both the spot and Commo Rose functions to the Q key. If you rebind this to another key from within the Battlefield 3 menu, it should work fine: the new key will spot and open the Commo Rose, and the Q key will no longer do anything. However, this will only last until the end of the current game.
The next time you play after rebinding the control, you will find that it’s very broken. The Q key is back to its old function of spotting and opening the Commo Rose, and the new key only opens up the Commo Rose — it no longer spots. There are two problems here:
1. Unless you rebind the control every time you play, you can’t use the Q key for any other function (such as strafing left), as the Commo Rose will open up and interfere.
2. Unless you rebind the control every time you play, your newly selected key will not spot. It will only open up the Commo Rose.
Our fix solves the first problem listed above. When enabled, the Q key will still spot, but it will not open up the Commo Rose, allowing you to use it for another purpose. Only your specified key will open the Commo Rose.
As for the second problem, which is that you cannot spot with your new key, that is something that we are looking into. It may be something that only DICE can resolve, but we hope to be able to provide a full fix for this in a future version. In the meantime, there is an inconvenient workaround. You can spot by using the Commo Rose: just select the blank shape in the very centre of the Commo Rose.
I hope this helps!
We also have the same problem reported above … my card
AMD Radeon HD6470M putting video to full screen the screen flashes 5
to 6 and then back to window mode
I have similar problem to adanos. During the game my settings window freez and I can’t change anything. Mouse don’t respond. I can use only keyord up and down keys and enter. I have ati 5850.
Doesn’t work anymore.
I’m sorry to hear that it’s not working.
Could you please provide us with some more details? In what way is it not working? Does BF3 Borderless say it could not detect the game, or is there some other issue?
If it cannot detect the game, then please try running it with administrator rights.
soon as i update to this version my window mode stopped working, i just thought i was the only one with the problem when no one was posting
I’m sorry to hear that it’s no longer working for you since this update.
Can you confirm that BF3 Borderless 1.1 still works for you? You can download it from the Downloads page.
Also, in what way is it not working now? Does it say that it cannot detect the game, or is there some other issue?
If it cannot detect the game, then please try running it with administrator rights.
thanks for the responce, before i updated battlefield would run in a window perfectly, once i update the window mode no longer works, the program does tell me it detects the game after i start the game.
I will delete this version and try the 1.1 later tonight or tomorrow and post again.
Thanks
it works fine, i had rise game checked everytime i started the game and it made it my full screen, once i removed that the program works as stated.
Thanks for taking the time to respond and sorry for the bad info, it works great.
Thank you guys for your work in making these fine programs.

Isn’t there a way to make bf3 borderless without installing .NET Framework 4.0?
Is it mandatory to use a framework to do the job?
Regards
Yes, it is possible to make Battlefield 3 run in a borderless window by using the Windows API – this can be done from C++, etc. However, the .NET Framework is required to run our BF3 Borderless program because of the way it has been implemented. We only require the .NET Framework Client Profile, which is a subset of the full framework and is a much smaller download.
The .NET Framework is a standard Windows component that has been included with Windows since certain versions of Windows XP, and version 4.0 is just the latest version. It is recommended to keep it up to date for all the various programs that use the .NET Framework.
Hi, great Tool thank you very much!!!!
Would it be possible to make it work for Crysis 2 and Bad Company 2 as well???
It would be possible — we actually already made a similar program for Bad Company 2 for our own private use. We could certainly polish that up and release it, but we are working on a more general borderless tool which will function with any game. Watch this space.
Great – nice to hear
This worked flawlessley for me. I used to have a problem where i would occasionally want to type in the Battlelog when a new map was loading (having a rather slow system) and it would often crash. With your tool, i have more confidence and it hasn’t crashed once in about a dozen tries.
May i suggest this feature: When you run BF3 Borderless, it loads one’s default Battlelog tool (be it one’s browser or your Standalone Battlelog) – or even the Origin Client/Game as some people seem to want. It’s kinda annoying loading this tool, then the Battlelog separately. This change would make it more integrated with the game.
Again, very polished tools, they are a credit to you.
Now it works without the tool beauce of the patch of BF3… I sell my game, does anybody wants a 2nd BF3 LIMITED EDITION ? just send me an email to n.old@gmx.at
